My new Murray 1998

Hi guys and gals, I haven't post in a long while. Kids, work, you know busy. Well my old Craftsman had to many problems to list. I started looking for something to buy and work on. I found an ad on the ol' mighty CL, and thought I'll call the guy. I was his first call, we set a date to come look at the Murray. It was a long drive (about 60 miles) but I said "this might be the one" I got the whole story from the guy, father-and-law had pasted and didn't need the tractor anymore. This guy really took care of the Murray, in which I could respect a lot. Got it home and started going over it, it had been sitting for a season or three. But over all good shape, after market tires, some what new deck, and new gas lines. I cleaned and adjusted the carb, adjusted the deck, changed the oil, and gave her some love. Runs like a champ. This what I got for $125.

Good price for a now working model. I always liked the deck lift/adjuster on those as you can quickly lift the deck, and then right back mowing same height as before. The 36" will mow alot of places the larger ones just won't fit.

Nice old 11/36! Great price as well. BBY is right, they are tough, reliable old machines. I have an '85 up in the shed.
