My new lawn tractor is here,

Today Sears delivered my YT3000. I was not happy with the delivery at all. They wanted to drop the mower in my yard and hand me the owners manual and leave without me even hearing it run. I told the man before I sign the delivery papers I would like to hear it run and see it move. He wasn't happy that I wanted a demo but he gave me about 3 minutes of his time and took off. I guess they get paid by the delivery and not by the hour. Anyway the tractor looks great and if it will only rain I will be able to mow some lawn and give you the real details.

I give a full report when I cut some grass.

Don't pay Sears $65.00 for delivery. I don't have a truck or I would have picked it up myself. I guess Sears charges $65.00 for delivery not instructions.

Yeah, those guys are just deliverymen - you're lucky they did not give you any advice. Read your owners manual from front to back (do it twice) and you'll be in good shape. You can always ask any of us your questions (if you have any?).

Nice looking ride - :goodl:
Nice looking machine there Tony.
We'll send some of the rain that we have over here, over to you in the next couple of days.
Congratulations! Looking forward to hearing how it works for you.

My neighbor just got a new Craftsman and they did a dump and run while he wasn't home.
What happened to the Blue Crew on that commercial when the guys nieghbor drives his tractor in reverse through his garage door and the guy with the craftsman gets an instructional demo from the delivery guy?
Great looking machine.Be sure and check all available grease fittings before you get serious mowing. Sometimes they are dry.

I can't believe they do that. What if someone walking by and saw a nice new tractor sitting there with the keys and decided to drive it home??
Sounds like I wasn't the only one displeased with the delivery that I was charged for... When Sears does a "follow up" call in a couple of days, Be Honest! I was.....

Congrats on the new YT Tony! She's pretty in red!
Gotta jump in here and add my 2 cents worth...:hide: bear with me

I'm a craftsman guy, as long as it applies to hand tools, (sockets, ratchets, wrenches etc.) but I've never had good luck with any of the other products. I've been unlucky I guess cause I read here about others who have had wonderful experiences (and I don't doubt them) but ....

However, had I paid for a machine and delivery I would expect them to unload it, start it, move it to and fro, wipe it down,:ROF massage my ego,:praying: etc. etc.

We are the customers and we deserve to be treated as such and when we allow less than stellar treatment then we are setting those who follow us up for more of the same. Demand excellence and if they are not willing to deliver then ask for a refund. HIGH STANDARDS hold 'em to 'em.

All that being said; you have a great looking machine, read your manuals and do as much maintenance as you can stand and you'll get years of service! congratulations!:trink40:

He's a retired Navy Seal, so he could find and liberate his machine in the middle of the night without ever having officially been there.

Me, I can shoot the eye out of field mouse at 100 yards. :ROF

Seriously, I did call him when I saw what had happened and had a tarp ready to cover it up if the rain came.

Congrats! Sharp lookin' ride!
Nice ride. I would have bought this tractor except my wife likes the look of PYT9000 better.
They arrived on time, delivery was smooth, and the delivery men were courteous. The PYT9000 came complete assembled. We poured in some gas and they fired it up, answered couple of my questions.
I am pleased with the service.

Very nice looking tractor. Check it over good and best of luck. You are correct about Sears Delivery; they are just a sub-contract service. I had some issues with a washer/dryer delivery myself. Just another way to cut cost I guess. It seems that a lot of companies are doing it now. I also like that red and black color scheme. :fing32:

Nice looking rig! I just got a YTS4000 with the 46in deck. I had a better delivery experience. They got it running, and had me drive it around a bit.

Did you perform the transmission flush?

We have the opposite problem with the rain up here. It has not stopped. I had to put down more starter fert to get the lawn going again. Now its out of control!

Nice rig! I hope it serves you well. I'll second that about the weather up here. It's been raining since April. My pool has been swirling around for a month now with no one in it because it hasn't even reached 70 degrees yet. Not much solar radiation predicted before the 4th of July party either.

I did do the transmission flush on the Yardman. I posted the results on the MTD forum. It went well.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. Please send me some of your rain. The garden and lawn are very dry.
