So yesterday evening I took delivery of 4 JD Shoe-Planters (4th is in garage). They are what remain from a 6-row cut down from a VERY nice lady about 2.5hrs north of me.
For starters, they are COMPLETE...all the way down to in-tact fertilizer gears. All the tins are there and not rusted through. Everything turns very nicely. Aside from needing a good cleaning, they are fine. Even the "shoes" are in fantastic shape.
So my plan is to make these up with a 3pt hitch. I will make 2-single rows, and a double row planter. I will be keeping a single-row for myself (1ac food plot for deer). Anyone know what a solid single and double row JD planter with 3pt hookup goes for?
