Well I finally found a plow a couple of hours away and in good shape.

I have a couple of questions, is the wire that attaches to the pull lever supposed to have bends in it? And does anyone grease theirs at the pivot point and pin?

Should have a hook at the top and a hook at the bottom. I have thought of making a cable with turnbuckles to replace my wire rod...Yes, you can lube it. I use a lock nut on the bolt so you don't have to tighten it so much that it pinches the mechanism. It leaves it a little loose so it rotates.

When you squeeze the lever on the handle, the pin should retract from the blade hole
and pushing or pulling the handle will pivot the blade. If it operates as such....your
wire is fine.

I found a bracket that the plow mounts to locally for $20 today but it didn't include the bolts and only one of the rear link mounting brackets # 3697. I found the parts breakdown and it shows a spacer also used #7713 but cannot see why it is needed. Does anyone have a picture of this mounted and why the spacer is needed?
