First Simplicity built machine, but I saw it on Ebay and impulse bid. Not sure what I'll do with it yet. It's pretty rough, all 4 tires are bad, but 3 hold air. It does have limited slip, but manual lift and the wiring is a mess.. It's a 914 Hydro, and has a dissasembled and removed 14hp cast briggs. Also missing the starter/gen... $93 mistake or $93 gem?

The tranny is worth your $93+....if you get an engine in her, and all wired up, you'll have a great machine!

lots of potential there. I'd go old school with the engine (I like torque), although repowers to a modern engine are common for these.

I can tell you an CH18 or 20 will blow away an old 16 briggs. And I like the old briggs...

That's also 2 more HP.. altho there is more potential in an OHV design. It does seem odd, you really cant get a 'garden' tractor with less than 18-20hp anymore. But in years past, they have came with as little as 7hp and they could pull ground engauging attachments and most all were optioned with blades or snow blowers....
