Looks good! I think 35' on a vacuum hose might be a stretch though.......I think you might lose too much suction at that length?
The guy I bought our home from did exactly that when he built the house. He installed a 60 gal compressor by the basement garage door and then plumbed 1 line over to the the downstairs workbench and another to the garage upstairs where it's connected to one of those retractable reels. Love it!I've been contemplating setting up a network of high pressure lines and couples from my garage to my basement and then connect my compressor up so I don't have to drag it everywhere! I like what you did mounting it to the shelf at that location to give you the best reach!
Yep! A pool vacuum hose works well for a long shop vac hose. I use one about 25 foot long so I can just drag that around my shop instead of needing to move the canister (shop is pretty crowded with equipment). I use the leaf blower before shedding the mower to blow the clippings and dust away outside. It helps keep the shop cleaner and keeps down the critter invasion problem. While I was at it I took my small wet dry vac and mounted it on the same shelf. Now it's like the air/vacuum station at the car wash. I will need to get a longer vacuum hose. Do you suppose a 1 3/4" pool hose would do? I like the fact that they don't kink easily and they come about 35' long, handy for vacuuming the nooks and crannies on my mower deck.
