I picked this up at an auction yesterday $186 CDN (140 + buyers fee + tax) . Someone said they couldn't get it going. Took a chance because I wanted the engine for my Bolens G14 and come to find out the guy I was bidding against just wants the hood. At the auction the tractor didn't look too bad, needed a battery and all 4 tires were flat, took a chance, almost had it for $50 then this guy started to bid against me. When Igot home took battery from other tractor, they were right, wouldn't start, no fire, plugs were bad, replaced and started right up. All I see this tractor needs is the right spark plugs, not sure of the right ones for it(there were 2 totally different plugs in it) 1 headlight, battery and a seat.

doesn't look to be in bad shape at all!!

The plugs should be an H10C or 844 champion, however i have been told that a chevy plug like r44t will work as long as you don't overtighten it (the factory plug has a gasket, and the GM plug has a tapered seat.

I have a manual for an 18/6 which is close to that... if you search for manuals in the sears forum, look for a thread started by me, I have all my manuals listed on a website for free. The listing is on the last page of the thread

Tks for the info GT. The hitch did come with it but is missing the center link, no biggie tho, got one on the way for my bolens that might work, if not , I'll build one!

tks for the comments. It really works good! It will also do a catwalk for about 10ft with the front wheels about 2ft off the ground. Almost scared myself sh**less when it first happened by mistake!

Without the deck under it they have a tendency to wheelie in higher gears when the clutch is released quickly.My tractors previous owner flipped mine & nearly got crushed.His son said "That was the dumbest thing I have ever seen him do".
