Hey guys, some people have asked me about the 5010 in my signature, and it's has been an ongoing rebuild for a long time now. (I dont have any pictures from when I originally got it because I didn't have a phone at the time) So I thought I would share the pictures I have taken over the years of the rebuild.

The tractor was bought from a Canadian dealer and shipped down here to wisconsin about ten years ago. The tractor has 9500 hours on it. It has been neglected in many many ways.

The tractor has been through a complete engine overhaul, almost every hydraulic line was replaced, new clutch, new seals on the crankshaft and transmission imput shafts. New seals in quick couplers. New bigger tires front and back. New radiator and oil cooler. New injectors and injection pump. Rebuild steering cylinders, new ball joints and tie rod ends. New muffler. New steering wheel. Everything was stripped down and repainted. New gauges on the dash. New seat.

I'm probably forgetting a lot of little things, but I think you guys get the point. I have dedicated a lot of time into this tractor.

I would like to thank my father, and my uncle for helping my with this rebuild. It was truely a great experience to fire it up and drive it when it was finally finished!

Thanks for looking guys.

This past week the tractor was finally all finished. I them had the priviledge to participate in "Drive your tractor to school day" for homecoming week. The tractor ran excellent and was purely a pleasure drving it there and back. The tractor and I were then featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. There is the picture of the newspaper.

Once again I would like to give a big thanks to my Dad and Uncle, for all the time, effort and money they put into this tractor over the years. It really meant a lot to me to drive it to school that day. I couldn't whipe the grin off my face all day...

Thanks for looking guys, hopefully you enjoyed all the pictures!

Thanks for the pics. Must have been a ground breaking tractor, as there is no rockshaft.
You all did a fine job on the refurbish. Reminds me of when I used to rebuild JD tractors.
I like the sound of the 5010/5020 when it's under load. :fing32:
