Do past cycles count? I love motorcycles, but after owning 49, I just retired from them forever. (For the third time.) This was my second motorcycle, my first Harley, a handshift 1950 Panhead hardtail. Picture was taken about 1957 back when Harleys made perfectly fine dual purpose motorcycles. They were far more reliable and rugged than their main competition, the "limeys."

You're probably right for racing; I was thinking in terms of for the consumers' dollars... I saw a lot more BSA's, Triumphs, Ariels, Nortons, Velocettes, etc. on the streets than I did Indians.
