We had a yardsale today. A colossal undertaking followed by 10 hours baking in the sun, followed by moving more stuff that I don't want anymore. Phew! But I did get time to clean a spot for the mowers to be stored in one place. The only mower missing is the 10323. No I didn't have time to clean and pose them.

The 8481 was a sitting in a yard with a free sign on it. My brother snagged it for me last year. I'm seriously considering parting it out and using the parts to fix up the 6430. And the shortblock for a 10515 if it will fit.

Very nice collection. It's funny. We have many of the same models......must be a regional infection of LBAD.

I didnt like the 8481 at first, but it has REALLY grown on me for cutting under lilac bushes and low branch trees.

I'm going to make a video of the chipperboy. It actually works very well. I've used several chippers, mighty mac, a standard rotary chipper powered by the legendary techumseh HH60, etc. This one is the fastest for my criteria. Which is reduce 75% volume reduction. It doesn't make the uniform chippings that you see in a DR Chipper video but it does shred everything up.

Its far far easier to start than other chippers because of less rotating mass. The HH60 powered unit was a bear because the flywheel cutting unit easily weighed 40lbs.

Its 10 times easier to clear an obstruction. Simply lift and tug the item out. And for items to small to feed I pile them up and run them over. When I'm done I rake everything up and snow shovel it into the dumpster.

Its on its 3 season and so far no problems with the engine. I do expect to kill it doing this.
