Hi! We have a green Murray 42" widebody tractor, B&S motor. Where the model number should be is completely faded and not legible. Do you have any suggestions on how I can find it?
I need to order a new fly wheel if that matters. I have the part number for the starter and transmission, but not sure if either are much help.

the number stamped on the starter: 9803135M
the number on the transmission 205-024C8099A0560

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your replies! We can't find any numbers on the engine anywhere. We've checked in all the places that we've seen to look but nothing is there. Any suggestions on how I can find that? Have a great day!

Welcome to MTF! Looks to be a Briggs and Stratton, engine model and serial number should be on the right side tin either on a label or stamped into the tins.
