Murray M22500 22" Push Mower Mulch Help

I picked up a 22" Murray push mower from walmart that is a 2n1 capability. I understand the side discharge aspect just fine, but the mulch has me a little baffled. I'm looking to use its mulch feature, but there doesn't seem to be a way to secure the mulch cover without keeping the chute on the side which makes it difficult to use both sides for easy trimming.

Has anyone had success with converting these mowers to mulch and dropping the discharge chute off?

The chute holds the baffle in place, by design....unfortunately.

Its typical...2N1 and 3N1 mowers are always one concession after another, they dont do any one thing well, but they do it all, decently..

That was my fear. Guess I'll be hitting the hardware store for a bolt and nut.
