I have an older used 40" Murray riding lawn mower I bought last year. I'm looking to get a bagger unit but the cost of the recommended Murray bagger (Model 24744) is anywhere from $400 to $500, which is significantly more than what I paid for the lawn mower.
Home Depot sells some generic baggers (38" and 42") for around $300. Is it possible to get one of the Home Depot generic baggers and try to use it on my riding mower? If yes, should I go for the 38" or the 42"?
Or are there other baggers that I could purchase to use on my 40" tractor?
Any guidance on this topic would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
