I've had several owners recently ask about the quality and versatility of the Ingersoll mulching kit for RM44 and RM48 decks.
I use the mulcher extensively and feel it is one of the best accessories available for these tractors.
Grass mulching is fine and pulverized throughout the season. Mowing patterns are simplified by not having to 'choose sides' when approaching an obstacle. Mowing speed is increased by not having to chase the discharge around the yard.
Autumn leaf cleanup is great, also. The photo here is a mulched row of moderate leaf cover, not discharged to the side. Personally, I will mulch up until the last 1 or 2 weeks of the year, then swap on the hydravac for a final fall cleanup.
The mulch kit includes heavy gauge baffles to control mulching, a discharge chute cover, 3 dual cutting mulching blades, and all necessary hardware.
