Recently the mower drive belt on our JD LX280 42" Freedom Deck has been thrown off on two occasions. This has happened during our weekly mowing when the PTO/RIO Switch is pulled for the first time. It is extremely difficult to return the belt to the tensioning pulley (especially when the deck is not removed). Does anyone know what might be causing this belt to be thrown off? We usually hose off the mower with water after each mowing and also run the blades following the washing. Could the water on the belt at the conclusion of the mowing be causing part of the problem when we start up the system a week later? Our LX280 only has a total of 110 hrs of use.
