Mower deck problems on my G4200/44in

I was cutting my lawn today with my G4200 with the 44in deck and it was mowing beautiful until I was almost done I noticed it wasn't cutting the lawn on the left side and the mower deck sounded kinda quiet. I shut down the tractor and found the left side blade was just spinning freely like it isn't hooked up to anything? I didn't get a chance to take the cover off and I'm new to Kubota tractors so I don't know what to expect. I know the deck is shaft drive but is there a belt that drives the blades? Why would just one stop spinning?

Hi, yes there is a belt lurking under that cover,(or whats left of a belt) it drives the spindles from your center pulley, dead grass and dirt have a tendency to build up under these covers as well.:goodl:

AHHH Ok. Will be taking it apart after work. Must be only the center blade was turning. :dunno: Thank you for posting superDave!
I ended up replacing that broken belt with a new one. I cut the lawn 3 times and the new belt broke again! Don't know what's going on. The new belt looked half the size it was when I put it on so it must be rubbing on something. The only spot I noticed the belt might have been rubbing is the tensioner spring and adjustment rod that tightens up the spring. Anybody run into this? How can I stop the belt from rubbing the spring and adjustment rod? How much tension should be put on the belt with the tensioner?
