mower deck dropping when parked?

hello everyone. i walked out to my barn today and found the mower deck has dropped. when i parked it the deck was all the way up. is this a tell tale sign of air in the system or bad seals? or is it just normal?

Boy... Gravity's a *****.. Oil leaking past your valves will cause it.. not nec. air.. :goodl:
Ditto. You are supposed to put the lift lever into the float position when its parked I belive.

I drop it to the ground anyway, same with any attachment.
Save the seals!
(No, not the kind that make good boots.)
i always drop my attatchments, it says to do it in my printout manual, saves your seal effort. my snowblower is heavy on the front so i know if i dont drop it, well lets just say i dont wanna kill a 35 yr old lift system lol, speaking of my snowblower, where could i get a printout of an owners manual for a tube frame 38" round-back snowblower?

i see..i will do that for now on. hopefully it's not dropping down while i'm mowing.
ir shouldnt because your hydro is running, well your pump, and i lower mine most of the way unless i mulch because i got wheels on my deck.
thanks for the responses. it makes sense though to have it down when not in use.

Check your model number. The stickys manuals section has some, Sonnys bolens has others. I have a hard time finding Bolens snowblower manuals, nothing that matches mine (model and serial are worn off)
