Hi All,

Finally got a new scanner so I'm back in manual scanning mode. Still trying to adjust to this "New Fangled" model, but I think I'll catch on eventually.

Here are a few that I just scanned. If you son't grab them here, they will always be available at http://www.searstractormanuals.com

Here are the Manuals.

1969 Sears Cultivator Manual

1968 Plow for Suburban or Custom Tractors

1970 Sweep Holder Manual

1970 Drag Harrow Manual

1970 Dump Rake Manual

*****ADDED*****

1978 Hardtop Vinyl Cab Manual

Hope that you enjoy them and find them useful. Once I get caught on my manuals, I'll be scanning all of "searstractorfan's":thanku: manuals as well.

would you like me to shrink the files? I have a full copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro and was able to shrink one of the files from 10682kb to 1960kb. I've already done it on my local copy and most shrunk between 50-90%.

Hi Anonymous,

If you could shrink then for me, that would be great. I've searched thru the settings and reduced the resolution from 300 DPI to 150 DPI, that is keeping file sizes down now. I could for even lower, but I want to make sure that they are still easy to read and don't pixellate too bad when people zoom in on them.

the ones i posted in the first post were all done at 300. If you could reduce just the first 6 that I posted, it would really be appreciated.

Email them to ( reformat) "manuals AT stripmine.org" :thThumbsU

Thanks

THANKS Dave!

Greatly appreciate your efforts in posting the manuals! Has helped me greatly in my research to rebuild my Suburban 15 and the implements that I have for it. :thThumbsU

Yes, thanks, Dave!

I wouldn't worry too much about shrinking the files as small as possible. I'm willing to trade some download time for better quality.

Hey stripmine, u got a list of all the manuals u have? I can try and sort out what I have that u already have scanned unless u want me to leave them all in the binders and u can just take them....that way if my books in better shape u can scan it up too...either way works with me! I even have some sales brochures(a 74 summer catalog and a 74? i think full catalog somewhere)...

Nope.. I don't have a list. but I should make one. It might be easier to leave your binders complete, and I'll compare them to what I have, I'll also compare them to what's already on line. If yours are better, then I'll scan them and replace the bad files with better ones.

Glad to see the catalogs too, I just added an "Advertising & Catalogs page. Right now.. it's just the roper stuff that I have, I'd like to add sears stuff too.

I'm getting caught up on mine, so do you want to make plans to meet up next weekend and I'll grab the manuals then?

Let me know, and I won't plan anything else.
