Gary, not as hard as you would think....
I would encourage anyone looking to learn to pick up a small, say 100+/- Amp
flux cored, mig welder for under $200 [some are near $100] and grab some 1/8 steel or angle from Lowes/HD and experiment

I arc welded for over 20 years and the very first time I put a mig welder in my hand was like writing with a pencil :trink40:
The "feel" and "position" you get in a few minutes, the hardest part is finding the right voltage and speed and most units give you a chart that gets you close

This is where the mount comes from

Once I get caught up on my IH stuff, I'am willing to get a welder like you speak of! I realy like that tractor set up, wow!:thanku:

Updated pics in the transporter thread:fing32:

Was hoping to get some pics this weekend with the LTX and the Berco on it, but the darn tree's are still filled with leaves:banghead3

Maybe my weekend turkey workoff with be a removable counter weight that fits into the 2x2 ball mount
