Well, it has been a snow-less winter for us this year. We started off with a Model 43 Blade at the beginning of the season:

But that Model 43 blade is not "correct" for a Round Fender 110. We are only able to mount it via a special retro-fit adapter. It is a great blade, but I admit it looks a bit out-of-place on the Round Fender.

Along the way, we picked up a nice original Model 36 Snow Thrower. So we dismounted the Model 43 blade, and mounted up the snowthrower. We had it "in the ready" most of the winter, but never had a chance to use it in anger. Just dry-runs in the driveway:

Well, come March 1 the blower got dismounted. It is a bit awkward to have it hanging out front there when also towing carts full of wood:

But, I did not want to be completely unprepared in case we get some late winter/early spring slush or snow. And, about 6 weeks ago, I snagged a nice Brass Tag Model 42 blade from a fellow MTF-er (thanks Glockem!) So this was the perfect excuse to finally give it a try. I think it looks much better on the Round Fender than the Model 43, don't you?

They look better but the old style blade is a bear to lift even with the lift assist spring. I had both blades for a rf 112 years ago.
So far, not too bad on the lifting. It doesn't seem any different than the Model 43, although it's been about 9 weeks since the 43 was on so I may not be remembering all that well. Compared to the snowthrower, it seems manageable. But I imagine in a snow removal situation I'd get a real workout.

Maybe they should have added secondary lift assist springs, like the snowthrower has?

Thanks for the compliments, guys.
