thanks for the replies. this one won't be sold it'll spend the rest of its days doing light chores around the yard and being hauled to shows. it will even get a roof over its head. just finished fitting the hood, curtains, gas tank,seat, belt pulley and all that other stuff still need to put on the fenders. the spring tire order is getting picked up tomorrow so i'll have the rear tubes and front tires and tubes. not long now but paying jobs keep interfereing with my time to finish it.

still a little bit to do on the z, but to keep me out of the doghouse it will likely be a red one

here it is. it just needs a muffler, starter button and the wiring harness attached. but the crank will do for now until i get the old style cloth wrapped wire

ken i have worked on a couple of those unfortunately not my own. some parts from spares pile even ended up in one, likely as close as i'll get to owning one.
argee i can't wait to see it in the sunlight either unfortunately its in the front end of the shop and there is to much stuff between it and the door. i did have time to put the pinstripes on it this afternoon makes it look a little sharper.

the rtu that donated its rear housing to the rts had part of an engine attached so i thought i'd pull it down as its the same style as the z engine for any one interested in seeing the rest of it first pic is of the governor second is the camshaft it comes out the side held in with bearing caps 3rd is the oil pump 4th is of the cam out

1st here is oil pump and mag drive coming out 2nd is pulling the hub the starting crank engages in 3rd is brg holder on back of crank unbolted and 4th is of the crank out
