Nice machine, nice pic!
:thanku: :D

I just found the Massey Ferguson board - Don't know where it was hiding when I joined :duh: but it IS the same as a Simplicity, so.......
Very nice looking tractor and enjoy it. slkpk
Tractor looks great! How does it handle the hills, probally not even breathing hard. How much land do you have? Thanks for sharing.

Hey you should know, you have one too! :D

It has no problem on the hills. When I forst got it, I was afraid to go anywhere - now with the roll bar I have taken some risks. With the 4wd engaged, it goes ANYWHERE. Even going across hills :229: which I really shouldn't do. It never breaks a sweat, even when I do! :D

I have 22 total acres. Most I do not cut. (wooded) The CFO insists these 5 look manicured - and they will after 2 days of mowing, weed wacking, etc....

One of the things you learn in life, if the Mrs. is happy the world is happy!!!!!!! Yea I know , we have the same tractor, aint life great! If I could ask my tractor did not come with a roll bar, what was the cost? I was moving crusher run for my buddy and I almost tipped over. My acre of land is for the most part flat and my driveway has about a 10 degree slope. I like your second picture, next time I put my fel on I have to see if the front wheels will come off the ground like yours.

Oh yes - If mommy's not happy, no one is happy... and it gets me out of the house. :bannana:

Oh you'll be able to lift the wheels off the ground no problem!! :D

In fact, there is a mod that I am going to do to riase the pressure in the hydraulics so you can lift more. Simple mod I saw on here. If you're interested, I'll post it.

Roll bar - Factory roll bar Simplicity part #1694400 lists for $925 - OUCH! There is a rebate program in New York for 70% of the cost - up to $600. Only problem is, they don't think this is a worthy tractor for the rebate. :crybaby: I bought mine used for $25. It was made for another tractor, but it will save my head! I don't have the 3 point hitch so it just bolts on the back of the frame.

Ouch for sure. I will have to wait awhile before I buy that, by fall I have to buy a 2 stage blower and a cab around 4 grand. I bought the tractor used fo 11grand with fel and weight box, 43 hours. I told the Mrs. that I need to buy a bagger for leaves in the fall (53 trees) and she said how much, for a 3 bagger and turbo aroud 1500 but I saved my self some$$ and found on craiglist a agfab vac/chipper unit for 600 she was happy. I read the post about increasing the pressue and in the furture I think I will do that thanks for offering to post it for me. Does your deck have the stripe rollers on it? I have the 54" and it does not. It really cuts great and I probally won't put rollers on it.

43 hours?! That's a new machine!

Mine has about 375. I bought it at about 350. My 1967 only has 461 hours!

My 60" deck has the rollers. It is nice if you do it right, but I mow in a circular pattern, not back and forth. With the 4wd on, it's had to go back and forth - not really a zero turn... Even the 1967 42" deck has rollers on it...

I saw a soft cab on CL for $150. Wife said "You don't need that" so I didn't get it. There is a blower, weights and chains on ebay for $1500 now I think...

I mow in a circular pattern also so I won't get the rollers. I sold my snowmobiles my 2 seater car to buy the tractor. Where I live in the winter the wind blows the snow 24/7 and I wanted something that I could buy a nice soft side cab for,(one that didnt look like I stole the shower cutain) and something that would not get stuck. I'll check out ebay Thanks!

In the literature I have, it shows the mower discharging to the left. Since I have a Cyclone rake, I need a right side discharge - is there a deck that discharges to the right side?
Thx!
Ya know, there are some Simplicity models that discharge to the right... Mine is a 60" and it goes left. I looked at the specs for 48, 54, and 60 inch decks and they all say Left discharge! Strange!

I would bet you could swap the deck from another Simplicity model and use the mounting from your Legacy XL deck to attach it...

My Conquest discharges to the right, which is what I need. I am considering getting a Legacy, which means all new attachments. They are not compatable, from one machine to the other, unfortunately.:Disgus:
Fcubman, I have a 54" deck on my legacy and it discharges to the right.
Okay, that's good to hear - thanks!
