I'm starting to think blades have to be made from something else. What I am finding on line does not match my blades.
It is entirely possible that I haven't found the right parts place yet.

my blade measure 16.5"- but is worn and likely was longer, has a 5/8" center hole and the two outer holes are like 1/4" diameter approx 2 1/8" center to center.

This tractor runs good with a good condition deck. It is only lacking {good} blades to be a time saver this spring around the farm mowing around the junk in the yard before I cut for bales.

Thanks in advance for direction to search.

I would think that you could find some 16 1/2" blades with the 5/8" center hole and drill out the two smaller holes if you have a drill press or maybe take them to a machine shop, welding shop, etc.

locopny,

Here are some Ariens blades that the quarter inch holes could be drilled into, if you have a drill press and some good bits. I'm sure a machine shop or welding shop could do the job.

I'm sure there are several more out there, my two cents, I'd buy premium blades considering the extra effort needed, maybe two pair.

Ended up going the suggested route from CCMoe as I was unable to locate others.

Will keep looking for others too. However this should get me rolling this Spring. Thank you for the guidance.

well I got the blades and got a machine shop to burn the alignment holes in them. I have mowed with it a few times and have a new issue....I striped the drive belt. Fortunately it was at the end of the yard. Its a simple V-belt, so is it my best bet to hit up NAPA or similar to find the replacement?

And one more question...is there a place to purchase the deck gear box shaft seal? Its leaking and I feel I ought to replace the seal than the likely obsolete gear box.

Take the old seal to NAPA and have them cross reference it.
