As posted before i got a MF1600 gear drive (why its called gear drive and still has a belt i dont know) The tractor was rusty as can be but i didnt have to much trouble getting it apart today.

The plastic is shot and the hood has been hacked on by a PO at one point. The grill is in good shape. The only worn parts I see so far is the front bearing for teh PTO. everything else is tight. The steering has some wierd angle for the linkage but if it works why mess with it?

The front tires can be tubed as they are still in decent shape. The rear tires downt appear to be used very much but are horribly dry rotted. I may tru to tube them just to see how they do.

Here are a few other tear down pics. Ive got her loaded up and will piddle with it over the next few days and hopefully get the frame cleaned up and painted.

Ive yet to drive this tractor but im impressed with they way its built. I think ill like it enough I may try to sell the D200 to buy a bigger massey.

The hood says 1200, the tag says 1600A, which if I remember was a later model MF1600 that came with hydraulic 3 point standard, can anybody else verify that info, where's the engine. Nice tractor, good luck, keep the pics coming during the progress.

Got more of it torn down. I havenot found anything yet that needs replaces mechanical wise. All bearings and what not are in great shape. By looking a the wear on the moving parts id say this was a low hour traffic. A shame someone kept it outside.

More tear down pics. Ive got everything torn off the frame except the rear axle. I should get that done tomorrow and have the frame painted by the end of the week. Due to the lack of finances it looks like ill be tubing the tires for teh time being.

Still wishing i had a shop or somewhere i could at least leave this stuff sitting. I managed to get the frame and rear end primed and painted with one coat. Ill do ll the gray with one coat. Once its assembled ill go over it all again with another coat. The frame is pitted bad. real bad. not enough to cause structural damage but non the less pitted. Wonder what the front brackets are that are welded on?
