I just found out that my cousin is giving me his MF1450 tractor. Serial number 000810. I looked on the date by serial number sticky and the 1450 is not listed, but the MF14 is, and I was wondering if the year of manufacture is the same for the MF1450. I am just trying to find out all that I can about the tractor. It may be quite some time before I get it in my hands though. He said it has some issues, so I'm not sure if it will be running when I get it or not. Should be fun though. If anyone has some pictures of a 1450, that would be great. Any info on this model would be great also.
Thanks,

Here is all the info I have on it so far.

I'm pretty sure the MF1450 is newer than the MF14. I'm thinking late 1970's to mid 1980's for the 1450. Was also available as a Snapper garden tractor with different paint and decals. An excellent garden tractor.

By the serial number of the engine, it appears your engine was built in 1981, so tractor is either an 81 or possibly 82....I'd say 81.

Great tractors I must say. You will enjoy it. Does your 1450 have rear pto & 3 point lift?

Thanks for the info. I have seen this tractor about 5 years ago. I'm sure it has the 3 point lift but I don't remember about the rear pto though. It has a mower deck that comes with it, but I think that is all. And thanks for the link to the yahoo group. I'm looking forward to start working on it.

So apparently the hitch and the rear pto are not standard features. What other options or features might it have? olcowhand and bontai Joe, do you own a 1450?
Have a MF1650, but same thing, just larger engine. The rear 3pt & pto are pretty much the options, plus a 3rd spool on the hydraulics for whatever you wanted it to power. The belly deck used a mule drive up front to drive the deck. Several pieces of equipment were available, but not many options on the tractor itself.

Thats a good one Todd. LOL As soon as I saw the pic i knew what was coming. The Mule drive is more or less directly run off of the engine, and it is not limited to the just the mower deck, it can power just about any attachment for your tractor.
