I got a McCullough 280 Busy Beaver gas trimmer (2 cycle) from a friend a couple of years ago.

I keep on fouling plugs and wonder what I can adust to cut down on the fouling??

The model number is A40012805, 1106295.

Any suggestions out there?

Put a hotter plug in it.

It calls for a Champion DJ8J.
How can I match a hotter plug?

Lean out the carb a bit, switch oil brand and run it @ 40:1.
