Mag problem.

Hey guys, my 48L sat outside without a hood on for a few days. I think it was enough to screw up the mag. Its a fairbanks Mag, and theres no spark from it. It'll shock me, but not enough for a spark. We outfitted the tractor with a Wico mag, which worked great right up until it ended up on the tractor. I cant get a constant spark from it, it does spark once in a while though. Even when i ground to the top of the mag still no spark, and i tryed two different wires and different plugs. It feels like the tractor is cursed. Where should I start?
