picked up the above saw. Fuel lines rotted. It is my understanding that
1. The fuel line with the filter goes to the input side of the carb
2. The outlet side of the carb goes to the primer bulb (suction side)
3. Outlet side of the carb goes to the tank.

Question is, how do you identify the input side of the carb?

I just changed the fuel lines on a hedge trimmer. I got the lines reversed when I hooked to the carb. It would run a few seconds and die. I finally figured out the problem and reversed the lines and it runs. So even if you get it backwards the first time you will be able to tell and know to switch them.
