Carb cleaning would be my first guess.....
M problem
Finishing up the yard with the M when all of the sudden I go to engage the blade and the engine dies. It happens all the time now. I can only keep it running holding the handle half way. Any suggestions would be great.

Sounds like you must have an M with a BBC. If so disable the black plastic horseshoe shaped switch that lies on the deck below the carb. It should have a lever run between it and a cable. Go ahead and unplug it and see what happens then.

Thanks Indy (it does have BBC) I unplugged the clip and it worked fine. What's wrong with it?

Have you washed it recently? When that switch gets wet it funks out for some reason or another I've noticed. See what happens in a day or so after its good and dry (if you've gotten it wet anyway) Sometimes they will work like they used to.
