My whole ordeal started with a squeaking sound coming from the pto area. It would go in and out,and the mower seemed to be operating properly so I didn't bother with it. Mowing today the mower started to vibrate a bit, so I shut it down and investigated. The bolt holding the clutch was just about to fall out. Before just tightening it I took the pulley and the bottom half of the clutch off just to see what shape it was in. I really have no idea what to look for, but I figured I could see if something really seemed out of whack. The bearing moved with some resistance but rolled smooth, not hanging up in any one spot. The top of the shear tab or whatever its called, had a little tab welded like someone had been in there for a quick fix. I put it all back together (wasn't sure hiw hard to torque the bolt. But good and snug) and it mowed perfect for about a half an hour. Then the mower just completly died. Nothing, not even the oil light or the hour meter that comes on when you turn the key. A little investigating. I found a blown fuse. The 15amp on the left side if your sitting on the mower. Replaced the fuse, and back to mowing perfect. Then about five minutes the deck just stopped while mowing. I disengaged and re-engaged the pto switch, and nothing not even a click. The mower will still shut off if I get off the seat with the pto engaged. I don't know if that would mean the switch is still good, and the pto clutch is shot or not. I consider myself pretty handy, and would like to fix it myself hopefully without just throwing parts at it. With a looming weekend party I might just have to take it in..... thanks for any help

After a trip to the dealer they gave me a couple trouble shooting tips to try. They are swamped and can't get it in for 2 and a half weeks. At this point I can get the pto to engage with two wired directly pig tailed to the battery. I bought a new switch and it changed nothing. Is it possible i got a bad switch?i seem to have continuity from the switch harness to the clutch harness, but I'm new to multi meters. Any help would be great thanks
