LX277 Carb weeping

Just noticed my LX277 smelled of fuel when I started it up, after pulling the air box its weeping out of the clear overflow tube on top that is a little to close the exhaust. Stuck float or am I in need of a new carb? Runs like a top other than that.

Probably a stuck float or worn/dirty needle. Once you fix that you will want to run a hose from that vent/drain on top of the carb to an area that does not get hot and is away from the engine/exhaust, preferably underneath the machine. If it's really tiny (might be 1/8" I.D.) use Tygon if you can't get fuel line that small. One more thing to check, if that machine has a fuel cutoff solenoid on the bottom of the carb bowl, make sure it is functioning and not binding in it's full range of motion. You'll have to remove it and ground the case to frame. Turn the key on and off to see it work.
