Is there any way other than the sticker on the back to figure out what year my LX176 is? The sticker is physically there but looks like it had a fight with a pressure washer. I can read MOD and then it fades pretty bad. I thought it was MOD17 but is probably MOD176. Any other places to look?

post a pic of the machine.. there were a couple serial cutoffs, but the biggest change was a different throttle lever and dash in the later years. Steering linkage changed from one end replaceable to both ends replaceable, but they are interchangeable.. headlight wiring changed too, but the older harness swaps with the new harness and vice verse

Look on the bottom of the seat. Mine had a 1998 date on it.

I stand corrected. Underneath near the hinge says 1995.

I'll be.. both of mine are marked by the date.. ones marked m something 1993, other is may 10 1993

With a 1995 stamp, it's probably a 1996. My 1996 LX188 had a seat date stamp of 1995 as well.
