Your probably going to get a lot of options on this one, my vote is any decent bar tire (Carlise Tru Power, Deerstones, Firestone 23 Degree) and more importantly lots of weight. Load up the tires with fluid, wheel weights, ect. Even turf tires with chains and lots of weight work fairly well.

Why not use the same rims and just add the tires. The HDAP's or the Tru-Powers will work year round. slkpk

What size disc did you order? I pull a disc with my X728 with HDAP's for deer food plots, does not need any weight!

We built a new house late last fall on 5 acres and I have been using my x485 for doing the finer landscaping (been using a 2 yd Cat loader for most of the rough shaping followed by a 773 Bobcat for the closer in work next to the house).

I put on ITP 589 M/S atv tires on the x485 for more traction using my box blade. I also pull a 33" King Kutter disc with an added 275lbs of weight on it to help level the ruts from the loader or Bobcat. The 589's pull like crazy. They were a little tricky to put on because they are a stiff 6 ply tire (and the recommended rim width was an inch narrower than the JD rim).

Using old fashioned tire mounting tricks, we got the 589's on. My only concern now is that I'll have too much traction and not enough tractor. Once my landscaping is all done, I'll probably pull off the 589's and put my turfs back on.

And then I have an aggressive set of rear tires for my quad.

My $0.02 on tire alternatives for the JD's.
