Hey all. Got a TLX1046VT a few months ago. Thing has been great so far with around 17 hours on it.

However, there might be a problem with the digital hour meter. At 5 hours the "hour glass" symbol started flashing, like the manual said it will, and I changed oil and filter. I can't find my danged manual anywhere right now but I swear it said it would stop flashing after a few hours. It still flashes at 17 hours. Is there something I can reset or does the flashing hour glass symbol mean something else too?

None of the warning lights are on.

Also, could someone tell me where all the grease zerks are located? I have the front wheel pivots and the two blades done but can't remember if there are more.

P.S. I'm blaming my wife for losing my manual even though I'm sure it's my fault. She just shakes her head!

I have to say that the hourglass symbol has been flashing on mine since I first fired her off. I thought it was supposed to do that so I have ignored it. I have 30 hours on mine, and it has never gone off. I changed the oil at 5.5 hours because I did not like the color of it. The oil is still clear as when I poured it in, and when it gets to 50 I will be using Mobil 1 as I have used in all my lawn equipment, and motor cycles........

The hour glass just means that the hour meter is ticking away. If it's showing, then the run time is being counted.

CCinCT, thanks for that, I didn't know what it was for, I thought it just showed that the battery was charging......... Now how do you know when you are supposed to change oil???? Supposed to be a monitor for that, however I have no clue how it works.........

Good to know, thanks for the info. For some reason I thought I remembered the manual saying it would stop after some time. I also think the change intervals are 5 hours then at 50 hours and every 50 after that, or once a season. Or only on the second Friday the 13th of the year, or winter solstice, or...man, I gotta find that manual!
