LT160 forward reverse questions adjustment

I have a few questions, I'll post them seperately.

I have an LT160 that I adjusted the linkage on because reverse wasn't engaging all the way. So I have more reverse now, but less forward. Problem is if I tighten or loosen the adjusting nut in the back at the linkage I either get more forward or more reverse. The bottom of the foot pedal hits on the frame and prevents full motion in either direction. Am I missing an adjustment somewhere? I've lifted it in the air and looked everywhere, don't see another adjustment.

I'm considering just trimming the back padding on the pedals, but don't really want to hack it up.
