There is a guy in the East Hartford area, who restores wheel Horse tractors.
I bought some parts from him last summer, but lost his contact info.
He frequents tractor shows and such!
Does anyone know who I mean?
I'ld really like to contact him to pick his brain a little!
Maybe buy some more parts.

He wasn't that young.
I originally found an old Craigs List add and emailed him.
I never actually met him.
He left a part in his driveway, and I left cash under his doormat!

Somewhere I have the info, he also advertises occasionally in some of the local papers. He also sometimes lists items on ebay.
I'll see if I can find his info for you.
What parts are you looking for?

Yes that's the guy!

I'm looking for a hydrostatic transmission for my 518 H .

Mine is having issues when it gets warm.It slows down under a load, and eventually binds when trying to go up any sort of grade.
If I turn off the mower,it isn't as bad,but still binds some.
On 90 degree days I can get about 40 minutes out of it before I feel it,and then I stop and let it cool down.

The plug in the bottom is plastic, and of course I mangled it trying to get it out to try changing the very dirty oil!

I'm going to try to suction it out of the reservoir, and then refill it,with the hopes that doing this several times will flush some of the crap out!
