i have just purchased the machine pictured below (but haven't picked it up yet). as you can see it has a sickle bar mower on the front - no other attachments. the sulky is from another mfr's product.

ok - so who made this machine (from the 40s or 50s) for montgomery ward, how common are they, are there attachments available, how can i search for them, anybody got an owner's manual they'd like to share, etc.

as you can tell, i'm excited over this machine.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Could be a David Bradly without the tin work
I'm not sure what you have there, but I'm glad you're excited!

It is a beautiful piece of Americana !!! I'll be watching (and hoping) for progress on your new machine...

Could be a Plo trac or chore trac I think made by simplicity , I have a plow trac but the handle bars are different than yours , It could also have been made by Midland.
Check simpletractors.com and search the Wards stuff
I don't know about the tractor, but the sulky is Gravely.
I hope someone can identify this, because it looks just like mine and I have no clue who built it. Mine does have a 22" tiller, cultivators, and a moldboard plow, and one more piece that I can't recall. Heck of a machine, 3 speed trans + reverse. Mine was repowered with a 14 hp kawasaki that is overkill, but it's what the fellow had. Good luck!
