Hi all,

My name is Mike, I am new to MTF. I am thinking of buying a Ford garden tractor to handle my lawn and snow removal needs. I have just under an acre and not a very long drive to plow. I also have a garden so I may look for a tiller also. I have not owned a Ford tractor before so my questions
what model would you recommend
anythings in particular to look for when looking at one

Thanks for any help:thanku:

FORD LGT 165

The rest aren't strong enough to handle the tiller... Trust me I have owned all 3 different lgt models...

Unless you find a LGT 195 but I have yet to ever see one...

click on the links in my signsture block if you want to see the tiller...

:MTF_wel2: Hi Mike, IF you want good machine for mowing and ground engaging than the LGT 145 - 195 would be the ticket, they are very rugged machines and are usually fairly easy to find , except for the allusive 195 this rig is rare. It is the first of the "twin" powered machines. Then you get into the late model LGT's thatwere made by Gilson and then Toro/Wheelhorse(90's)
The latter, being very hard to find goodies for.
Good luck in your quest, and as always :wwp: when you find the rig you want.:trink39:

I'm not a Ford person but if I were I would look for good 8N.
For under an acre ? Nah an LGT can handle it just fine. I have both and the 8N is way to much.;)
