It is probably a Bolens part. What is the model number of the tractor? It is likely on a decal under the seat.

The cross-referenced Troy-Bilt part number for the GTX20/GT2000 is MTD 1772502 for the muffler. You'll probably get more ground with the more modern Troy-Bilt p/n. Here's a parts breakdown for the DuraTracs from Sam's Bolens: https://www.samsbolens.com/_files/ugd/ed02be_8cfa910f9f9444b1a2193c76d7df312b.pdf. The first place to check would be eBay, and then maybe general parts dealers like Jack's, and then Sam's Bolens, Bolens Parts & Supplies, and the like of specialized Bolens dealers.

Well, that's a different story. If you can weld, perhaps consider "fixing" your existing muffler, and replacing the bits inside, they generally aren't super-complicated to make...

cool never thought of that one.. started welding not that long ago cause I like playing around and trying build stuff.. going to see if I can build be a tow behind grader this spring using on of my old wheel horse plows

I agree with welding, especially since half the Duratracs I see have a welded pipe or muffler already.

Hey and thanks. I tried both no luck so ordered one that says that it KOHLER MAGNUM KT17.. pipes look dead on and it is NOS for $70 delivered. Worse case I need to get the pipes bent and welded on.. dream case is that it fits.
