Hi guys,

I am currently looking to buy a ZTR. I already own a John Deere 2305 with a 54 MMM to do the bulk of the mowing, but I would like to get the Z225 to do the contour work and under the trees. I would like to eliminate as much of the push mowing as possible!

I wanted to know what your experiences have been with the Z225. Has anyone had any issues with the Briggs and Stratton engine?

Would you guys reccomend any other riding mowers for this kind of work. I have about 2 acres of lawn to mow and I have quite a few low-branched trees. I don't want to scratch my 2305 by mowing too close to the trees!

As always, I appreciate your help!

JPD,

How about surrounding the trees with mulch beds?

i agree with JDCCETECH I HAVE A 225 AND IT ISNT ALL ITS CRACKED UP TO BE. BUY A X320 IM MUCH MORE SATISFIED. IF YOUR LAND IS FLAT THE 225 WOULD BE A GREAT CHOICE. MINE LIKES TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL WHEN ON THE SLIGHTEST HILLS.
