What should I offer this guy for the old LB. Anyone tell me the model and year? What would it be worth running? Is this a C or D engine? What paint matches this color?

This guy says the 10323 is dead. May be just an ignition.

That first one is pretty cool / rare in my opinion. You don't see many tan / blue lettered shrouds. I have a 19 like that (yours would be a 21). It is a D engine, and it purrs.

What's a good offer?
75 to 100 to see if he will sell it for that.
Looks like my 7259 made in 1969. Mine is missing alot of paint, but runs great. I gave $10.00 for mine, not running.

Start at $25 and don't do more than $50 on that tan one.
Yeah, asking $25 to $50 for that tan one sounds good, I bet he would take that offer. It's a good old D-engine and man do they purr, they have plenty of power to boot also.
I have a 19" of the tan one in green. Paid $10.00.

Threw some gas in it and mowed with it twice.

(now it's very hard to start, and when it does start, it goes up and down in RPM, then dies. Need to wait some time b4 it'll run again. What gives? The outside of the carb is damp.)
They painted that color in 1965 and again in 1967. From the shape of the shroud, that is a 1967 and as said above, a D-400. $25 is good starting point and how high you go depends on how bad you want it. I have had some of those and I THINK the base is magnesium, if it is, it will be in raised letters on the side under the air cleaner. IF it runs good and you like it, "H" - $100.

I offered the guy 100 on the tan D400. He will NOT take 75, says it's too little. I might sacrifice an M for it!

He won't take $75 or less, I talked with him. Like I said, I had already offered $100. He says he'll see what other offers he gets first.....:praying:

LOL. He's taking offers. If you want it that bad make a bigger offer than I have. Just seemed that you didn't want to pay that much for it. I am sticking with my $100 offer. But, let the better man get it! No hard feelings.:thThumbsU

Nah....too rich for my blood. I'll stick to basket cases for $25-$50 range.

No...its all good. I still have to grab up those parts from you. I need a few wing nuts, those white clips (for the wing nuts) and any pull start rope holders for the bar (if you have any).
