look closer for cast in numbers of a sequential manner on all the removeable covers and shaft extensions. for instance 65005, 65006, 65009, etc. if you find markings like this, good chance it was made by funk MFG co, who were bought by john deere. i sold a pretty similar looking dropbox not long ago from a pettibone crane.

My neighbor picked up this for the engine. It had a 4 cyl. Cummins with a turbo. Sunday it still had everything on it except the screened cab. I didn't have the camera Sunday. Three of the picks are the transmission. Does anyone know what the machine was and the transmission? There were no brand names or model numbers on the machine. It was getting late and the pics aren't that good. I didn't think he would have it torn apart that quick either. He is around 72 years old.
