I heard of doing this. Are people putting locktite blue on the case side of the lower crank seal to help with these blowing out? DO I have i right?

I guess I don't see any harm in trying.

Be sure that you do use locktite on your conrod bolts though.

I dont put it on the seal. On the duraforces they have a snap ring to hold them in.
Gotcha...ok...I figured I heard of people doing it..can't remeber who but snap ring should do it.

"Hey echo. I found my first seal popped all the way out and resting on the muffler. The f engine still ran ok too!"

Must be a S21zpm:ROF, both Echo and I have had that same problem with the same mower.

Not all of the DF's had the snap ring to hole the bottom seal in I have read. But I may be misinformed on that. I would use the red RTV to help hold it in if I was concerned about it.

I have a 7268 (1980) with the F motor and just finished replacing the lower seal which does NOT have a snap ring.
