The press-in fuel inlet fitting on the LMT carb/Briggs 12 hp on my JD 111 is cracked, leaking, my OPE dealer says they cannot be purchased, what to do?

Look for another dealer. You don't give much detail but if you have what I think you do, you can buy them for about $4. Use drill bit to pull the old metal part of the fitting out after removing the plastic end. Press the new el in.

Someone want's to sell a new carb? Sounds like it! As Walt stated fitting is available. Make sure you have the new one pointed in the right direction before you press it it, I don't think this is a swivel type fitting.

Yeah, should be but I would recommend against doing it more than absolutely necessary.
