My Snapper started and ran fine until recently. No clicks but it started on 2nd pull of the recoil starter.

Got the schematic and harness prints out and began following a recent blog on starting problems.

Battery was AOK, so I opened up the 'solenoid room' above the shift lever.
Looked inside and touched the fuse holder.....it fell apart!

Reconnected it.....hit the switch....mower Snapped to life :thThumbsU

No matter how I tried, could not get the rubber fuse holder to stay together.
(So replaced it with an automotive in-line 'twist lock' holder.)

Good info to know, and some fast troubleshooting that you did also.

A very good troubleshooting lesson, start with the easy things, the switches are mostly plastic and can break or slip from their mounts, the mounts can bend or loosen, the wires can break,or wear off their insulation,etc..A good visual inspection can save a lot of time(and money)

I'm puzzled why that stock rubber fuse holder wouldn't lock together with a fuse in it? The fuse was a standard 3AG type, I believe. Didn't think to try a 3 x 20mm metric in it.
