Hey all, been awhile
So I’m rebuilding the ford. Need to take the trans apart as I found a tooth on oil change. I know the pump is an Eaton but can’t really find any info on the gearbox. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure on the year

Also need a good source for parts

Peerless 2500 2 spd I believe, never had one apart... odd to see them fail actually

pretty sure it wasn’t taken care of. Got a lot of issues with it actually. Motor needs a bore, electrical is a mess, loader needed work, and issues with body panels. Just abuse I think. Actually put it away after I got frustrated with all the problems. Just now getting back to it

Ive had a quite a few Fords come and go, 3 or 4 exactly like yours... one with a loader I sold last year. Think I have one 2500 in an openside Ford right now but Im in Alberta

does that mean u want to sell it? I might actually be interested depending on shipping. Obviously I gotta get it apart and see the damage but so far haven’t had any luck finding parts resources yet.

Well it isnt going anywhere soon so check out the one you have first.... the price of shipping would likely be too high to ship from here... and you might find one closer to home.

Shipping would be a killer, they are heavy...Finding one shouldn't be too hard. Around here, the Fords are quite common, at least what I have seen.

yeah ur probably right. Just wish I could find more info on it. Guess I’m just worried about finding parts for it. I’ll tell u if I knew it had all the issues it has I would not had bought it. But I guess that’s part of the adventure right

Just keep your eyes open, watch ads etc.....I am a delivery guy, so I get around a bit. I know where there are 3 LGT Fords sitting outside doing nothing. Another in my back yard.

It will be all worth while in the end... I kinda prefer the looks of the OS models but the CL ones are real nice tractors when they are fixed up...
