Hi folks,

I was "harmlessly" perusing CL when I came across this.

The only real garden tractor I've owned is the JD 212 that I currently use on a pretty regular basis. I'm pretty familiar with the K301 in it, but I know nothing of Onans or Sears GTs for that matter. I was hoping to get some suggestions on things that I should look/look out for. One question I had is did these really come with a 54" deck or is that an external shell width?

Hoping to start a collection and seeing a restoration in my future,

I'm going to take a look at it on Saturday. I'm thinking about 250-300. Does this seem high/fair/low? Of course it depends on how well it looks up close and if the deck is in workable shape. My 212 is waiting on a coil, plug wire, and points saver so I'm kind of hoping that this one will run with only a small amount of work.

And a twin seems pretty exciting to me! Hopefully it's twice the fun :fing32: and not twice the work !:duh:
