Lawnboy tools

Hi all! I know everyone likes pictures so I thought I would share my latest find. I picked this up off eBay for $25.00 including shipping. It was really greasy and dirty when it arrived but after some careful cleaning on the case and some wire brushing of the tools it looks really nice. The part number sticker on the lid was falling off and I was going to try to save it but the print shop that did my Bricktop logos is going to make me a new one. A local Lawnboy mechanic I know at the hardware store provided the test spark plug and that tiny plastic tool in the center otherwise most everything in the kit is there. The mechanic guy also has the puller he is going to sell me and he thinks he has a piston stop as well. Anyone have a picture of the type of snap ring pliers that came in this kit. I may have to buy an aftermarket one to complete the kit if I can't locate one. I finally have a proper place for my air gap gauge!!! Thanks, Bill

Hi again! Well I was finally able to round up all the tools I needed to complete the tool kit I bought off eBay so I thought I would share by posting some pictures. The lid sticker was reproduced by The Print Shop and I received 5 of the tools from my local mechanic. Also purchased the OTC snap ring pliers from eBay and the carb wrench from my Toro dealer. My thanks to all the members who helped either with tools, pictures, or information. I originally paid $25.49 for the kit and with the purchase of the missing items I have right at $100.00 in the kit. Eventually I hope to be able to put some of these to good use. Thanks again and enjoy the pictures. Bill

Nice looking tool set! I hope to come across one of those someday myself!
Your kit turned out good! It's all sooo clean!

I need to find one of the books I have, it has all the tool kits listed for the mechanics and prices for them. (they didn't cost nearly as much as I was told on here), think is said the one pictured here was around $225. I was told they were like $500 to $600.

Hi! I never knew how much these kits were new but if you were able to purchase all the tools separately, if you could still buy them all, they would probably total close to the $500.00 mark. I saw there was one on eBay a week or so ago and wondered if someone on the forum had snagged that one. I had posted a link on the forum for it and had also contacted the seller with some additional information about the items that were missing. Like I said I hope to put some of these to good use in the upcoming years but it's just kind of cool to have a complete kit. Bill

I scanned and posted the pages from the service catalogs regarding the tool kits!
