I have a lawn boy model 3002. I got it from my grandfather last year and had it up and running and mowed the yard w it, but when I got back to the garage I noticed I could not get it started again. I checked it out and it appears I'm missing some kind of gear that connects the recoil to the unit. I mowed the entire yard and can not find it. Any suggestions where I can find the piece that goes between? Pics included of flywheel where the missing gear would attach it to the recoil.

Ebay would be probably be your best bet. I see the recoil assembly for your mower on there all the time. I f you look up your mower on parts tree you can get the part number for what you are missing and then look it up on ebay.
