As the name suggests, not much experience with small engines but giving it a go anyways. Mower is starting without issue but has no power, so decided to start with the carburetor - in pulling that apart, I ended up pulling off the throttle spring below the Air vane and when re-assembling I can find no logical spot for that to connect back to. It would make sense to connect somehow to the governor control lever, but not seeing anything obvious. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Welcome to MTF.
Give it a little time and I'm sure someone will come along to lend a hand.
I think with loss of power, you should check the exhaust ports first.
New CJ-14 spark plug, check the air filter.
Check fuel delivery system.
I the next day you'll get some assistance.
Again, Welcome,

Greetings, and welcome to MTF. You're going to get plenty of help around here. If I am not mistaken, one end of the spring slips into a notch on the air vane, and the other will connect to your throttle control.

The power issue appears to have been with the exhaust port - thanks for that information. Still looking for the location of the spring to connect to so that I can control the governor

thanks for the link to the other thread. That seemed to provide the light at the end of the tunnel that I was looking for.
